In AdventureBox this month you will follow Mr. and Mrs. Cashin, the town Zoo owners, in their journey to make more money. They will have to face many challenges to achieve their goals. It all begins with a simple lottery machine, and soon becomes a complete jungle for this couple trying to get a bit of business! NatureBox will tell you everything you need to know about dandelions, and how they go from yellow flowers to the lightest fluffy white balls! Then, you will have fun with Tom and Lili. They are very annoyed with their big sister and decide it's time to play a joke on her. After a good story and a few laughs, it's always nice to go and have a little exercise. Monkeys are full of joy and laughter, and this month, it's their turn to practise their gymnastic skills. But they need your help! In this issue of AdventureBox, you will be able to join the monkeys and make them practice their skills in gymnastics with many puzzles and games. Finally, you will be able to take a break with Ariol and Ramono who are enjoying their vacation with Ariol's grandparents. You will see them refresh themselves with a delicious ice-cream and then explore the port they are in. In the middle of boats and captains, what kind of adventures do you think they will have this time? Find out in this month's issue! Also, don't forget to enter the WWF competition for a chance to win fantastic prizes! All you have to do is send us your best drawing of a tiger.

Michael MorpurgoAbout Michael Morpurgo

Michael has to be one of the most prolific figures in British children’s literature of all time. This award-winning children's author has written over 100 books! Most notably he is highly respected and recognized; not only was he  the third person to become Children's Laureate and held the title from 2003-2005, but he also was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) on 17 June 2006 for services to literature.

Here at AdventureBox we especially love Michael not only for his amazing contribution to children’s literature over the years, but also because of his fantastic charity work. Michael and his wife Clare founded Farms For City Children in 1976, and since then they have done great work; children learn where their food comes from, as well as the importance of caring for the land and animals.

Adventure BoxMichael's feature for Adventurebox

At last the wait is over and this months AdventureBox featuring Michael is finally here! We just love Sam’s Duck, the story Michael has written. In this lovely story, Sam is a young boy from London who goes with on a school trip to a farm. He is having a really amazing time until he meets a very nasty and horrid little man who is cruel to animals... As you will see from the wonderful charity work Michael does, the subject of cruelty to animals is one that is very close to the author’s heart. That’s why we have chosen to focus our competition on this subject too!
